Keep the Tonga Language and Culture Alive

The Tonga Literacy Project is on a mission to preserve the language and culture of the Tonga tribe in Zimbabwe.

Imagine losing your history, culture, identity, and worldview in a blink of an eye. This is quickly becoming a reality for the Tonga people.

As the language of our ancestors, the Tonga language is at risk of disappearing for future generations, which would lead to losing a lifetime of culture, history, traditions, values, and more.

With your help, we will turn the page to a new chapter where the Tonga language is heard for future generations.

Published Tonga literature stands between Tonga prosperity and loss.

Your donation will go toward the publication and distribution of four Tonga-translated textbooks, which were carefully selected to act as repositories for our language.
